I got really hooked into these characters 3 books ago. That feeling has not diminished with book 4. I will continue reading these.

The mage of mages and a queen's guard decide, after years of a secret relationship, to run away together and open a tea/book shop in a small town. So far so Legends&Latte + Bookshops&Bonedust.
The novel finds its feet around 40%, when secondary characters have been introduced and a quest seems to come up.
There is potential for a series and I'm looking forward to it.

I truly enjoyed this book. It reminded me of Dan Brown's work, but has a tone all it's own. I won this from a Goodreads Giveaway.
A Biblical Archeologist, Maggie Shepherd, is excited about her next dig. She's going to help retrieve a relic from St. Nicholas' tomb. Strange things happen as it is being retrieved.
Malachi Popov is in a bind. His old employer has forced him to still the St. Nicholas relic for him. If he doesn't, his⬇️
Admittedly, I am not the biggest fan of second chance romances, but I think I would have struggled with this one even if it wasn‘t that trope. I found both Pearl and Cord to be underdeveloped characters and never fully understood their attraction to each other (outside of lust).

Dragon exterminator Robert, Princess Cerisse, and Prince Reginald find their worlds colliding when there‘s a new threat of magically bred dragons on the horizon.
I‘m so glad I read The Last Unicorn recently. Beagle has such a talent for lyrical writing that feels like a fairy tale. For all the briefness, we get character growth, adventure, fun side characters, a little romance, & a glimpse into a lush & fascinating world! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
This novel is all about ambition and power – what would you do to get it and what would it cost you – were very central to the plot and character motivations.
Meilin leaves her family to join the army out ambition and a desire for autonomy. She wants to find a place for herself and not be defined by the men around her. A dangerous ambition as a competent woman in the realm of men upsets the social order.

Perigee, in an effort to fix everything for their father, arranges for the two of them to get invited back to the Puzzle House built by their grandparents. But nothing is what it seems & the house has ideas of its own.
I ended up reading this whole story to my nibling in a week. & both of us were thoroughly charmed. The relationship between Perigee & their father was so sweet and full of love. The descriptions were so lush & whimsical. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
This is really cute. In a way, it's a bit fluffier than the first. But it's still funny.

J.D. Barker is one of my all-time favorite authors. His books are always a wild intense ride. I can always expect to be grabbed at the first page, and not let go of until the end.
This one was good, but different from his others. It was a spicy read, which you usually don't get from Barker. It was, also, scary because it dealt with an app and how apps, or I guess I should say phones and computers, can start controlling our lives. ⬇️
It takes awhile for this novella to find its stride. The first few chapters are a bit awkwardly paced and there is a lot of information thrown at the reader. After chapter 3 it improves dramatically.
