View from my kitchen window as I was starting the fourth chapter of Lirael. Finally getting bird visitors! This morning it was a handsome cardinal, driving my cat wild. ^^

This installment didn't quite give me the same pleasure as the first. It lagged quite a bit for me at the end and felt largely like a stepping stone to the third book. On the other hand, it introduced really interesting characters whose stories I look forward to reading about. All the same, I think I'll take a breather from Sevenwaters for a spell and revisit a series I haven't touched in a while - let's hope this sequel is stronger!

Afraid I might have already guessed the twist ._.
