Interesting concept and great writing, but the plot wasn't the best I've read. Felt longer than it needed to be, and some parts didn't make much sense or were unnecessary. Would consider reading another book from the author, but wouldn't reread!

It was written in 1919, so it was surprisingly easy to read, but tons of problematic tropes.

Important in the romance novel/Harlequin romance history, but wouldn't recommend for a fun read.
