pickA great start to a new trilogy from Nalini Singh. I loved the chemistry between these two and I am more than a little smitten with Valentin. He is a total bear and I loved the secondary characters. So sweet! Silver is such a strong character, particularly in her willingness to take charge and make chang. Between her and Valentin it was a total slow burn romance. I also thought there was plenty of great world building and I loved the setting in
pickUtterly charmed by this book. Loved the characters, particularly Monty, despite him being a completely vile. I adored Percy, who has the courage of his convictions. One of the standouts was Felicity, also putting up with no nonsense from Monty and a woman with a mind of her own.
What I loved most of all was the setting of a Grand Tour in Europe. It made this story shine. Diverse characters, adventures, a three musketeers feel and pirates.
pickI must admit to a bit of a squee moment when I saw this was coming out. I absolutely loved the first book in this series and this second novel is an absolute treat. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and story, an couldn't put it down. London is described vividly and the theater setting feels very real with a feisty and romantic tale woven in. If you've not picked up the author already, then do. One of my favorites of 2017 already.
