Currently reading for fun. I used to watch Murder, She Wrote every Sunday evening with my mom. I miss my mom. I've met a new friend at work and we laugh at ourselves over our geeky infatuation with this show and our love of the great Angela Lansbury.

I love books that take old familiar characters and plots and weave new tales of fantasy. R.M. Arcejaeger does this so well in her new spin on the timeless story of Robin Hood. I adored this book, as did my daughter and two teen girls I recently tutored.

Here Lies the Librarian is my favorite of Richard Peck's novels I've read to date. PeeWee is a charming heroine for young girls and Irene is a superb role model. Richard Peck's characters are always unforgettable.

While books have come and gone over the years, She Had Some Horses has had a permanent space on my shelves. Joy Harjo's poems provide a connection to a world that is not yours while allowing you to connect your own experiences and emotions to her powerful words.
