This book was unlike anything I've ever read, set in the 1400s with a gender swapped Vlad the Impaler, nothing has ever come close to being like this book. I really enjoyed this book once I got into it, it took about 150 pages for me to really become enveloped in the story but once I did I couldn't put it down. I definitely suggest picking this up for something different.

Another re-read and I enjoyed it just as much, if not more. The more we delve into the magical world in this series the happier I get. 😊 I also enjoyed the characters infinitely more in this one as more about them was revealed.
(also sorry everything has been 5/5🌟 and re-reads, hopefully I'll have And I Darken (new read) up later this week!!)

This was a re-read for me and I loved it just as much if not more. It's such a dark read and unlike anything I've ever read. It made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me feel so many intense emotions. Pick this one up for sure if you haven't yet.

This was a re-read for me in prep for Empire of Storms in Sept. I remember loving this and it being what pulled me into fantasy. Well this re-read reminded me how much I love the world and characters. I recommend this to everyone. If you like magic and kickass ladies pick this up for sure.
