An interesting story that starts off with an amazing beginning. However, the two-thirds, especially towards the end, feels rushed and not as cohesive. Following Minnette's life is great and shows a character that grows up as she realizes the harsh world around her. 3/5

WOW! This was such an incredible read! It so satirical and funny but really insightful and intriguing. I love these types of books because it has several layers. On the surface, it's a quirky, hilarious story about the devil playing games with people but underneath, a reader can dissect it. This is a classic that I see its influence in pop culture. The translation is fantastic. It has a nice flow and the index really helped.
