The Martian was so thin and blah I had to go back to one of the greats and grok some Heinlein. Good on Andy Weir for the self publishing success though.

But what does it all mean? The hurricane, the pipes etc... Love sucks, this book does not. Definitely a lot to ruminate on once you reach The End.

Great YA read that doesn't feel like YA. Slow start but fun mystery, sharp heroine and no love triangle! Nice to also read a self contained book v embarking on a new series.
