This book is about Shigeo Kageyama, AKA Mob, a 8th grader and a psychic. Mob has various kinds of supernatural powers that he uses to get rid of curses and spirits. Besides his other worldly powers, Mob is an awkward teen boy who is described to have almost a complete lack of emotion by his peers. He can‘t externally express his feelings. kyra.wever Throughout the story, the more emotions Mob feel, the greater a power within him grows. Once he hits 100%, he becomes incredibly dangerous and will destroy any enemies in his way.
In his world, Mob has a unique gift, however there are others that share similar powers. Arataka Reigen, a 28- or some year old man and Mob‘s boss, is not one of these people. Reigen is a con man who claims to be a “spirit medium”, however makes Mob do most of the work. 2y

kyra.wever Mob however is blissfully unaware of this situation and works under Reigen for 300 yen (about 3 dollars) an hour. Despite being a compulsive liar and using Mob for monetary gain, Reigen occasionally offers Mob meaningful advice and mentors him.
If you like books like One Punch Man or possible Jojo‘s Bizarre Adventures, you‘d enjoy this book… However, do not expect a beautiful art style.
This book is told in a 3rd Person Omniscient Point of View. 2y

This book is about a man named Tatsu, a former yukuza (Japanese mafia) boss and a highly feared man. However, Tatsu has given up his mob bass life and has settled in the role of househusband for his working wife. Throughout the book, Tatsu hilariously deals with everyday tasks such as shopping and cooking meals, while also dealing with enemies and employees of the past. kyra.wever The Disastrous Life of Saiki K or are just interested in a funny read, this is a good book. I think the theme of this book is to not let your past define who you want to be- Tatsu was formerly a man who was feared by many, but has chosen to help his working wife out and be a proper househusband. Although he still deals with the consequences of his former life and his intimidating appearance, he has found peace and a family. 2y
