These are some interesting facts. Bit of surprise but good to see Indians taking their reading habit seriously.

RachelO That‘s a really interesting chart. A little depressing ( 🇬🇧) but really interesting! 9mo
Kaye Holy cow.....USA. WHAT HAPPENED ? 9mo
taraWritesSci Wow, the bottom of that chart is unexpected. Japan, UK, what's happening over there? 9mo
kitabi_keeda @RachelO @kaye @taraWritesSci There is another fact given at the bottom of the list. Globally, people spend more than 25 hrs per week watching TV and surfing the internet. I guess Japan, US, UK must be on the top of that list. I hope that might answer your questions. 9mo

Listening to the tagged book, however, I have already read it. I really enjoy walking around the #brahmasarovar lake, the central stage of epic #mahabharata. Also, visited the Mahabharata theme based Panorama museum at Kurukshetra.

"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

I was reluctant to start this series owing to its ginormous size but I find it really interesting and captivating.

From spending childhood in foster care to becoming a famous comedian/actor, she has been through many difficult situations in her life. But she always sees the positive in it. She is hilarious, witty, smart badass with a great sense of humour and infectious smile. I really loved this book and her storytelling was amazing. I recommend listening audiobook instead of reading the book. 💚💚

⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's all about geopolitics. It describes the role of geography in determining cooperation, progress and political behaviour. Due to its unique writing style it's easy to read and understand. However, more emphasis has been given on the defense and security of a nation vis-a-vis its geographical location. Overall, it's a interesting book and you should read if you are interested in world geopolitics.

kitabi_keeda Why is Crimea so important to Russia? Why is there war and instability in the Middle East? What are the factors which led the USA to become a superpower? Geography explains all. For those who want to have a better understanding in these geopolitical issues, it's a must read book. 🌍 🌎 🌏 🗺 1y

Finally, finished this book and really loved it. I liked the way he explained his struggles and problems with a sense of humour. Him being a coloured child is the dominating theme of the book which sometimes seems repetitive but he really knows how to make it interesting and humorous. Overall, this was an interesting read filled with inspiration.

JosieG I listened to the audiobook, which he narrated as well. I think it really added something to it, because the way he tells stories really makes them come to life. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. 1y
Bklover Loved this audiobook! 1y
kitabi_keeda @JosieG @Bklover I read it on kindle. Also I regularly watch his TV show on Comedy Central and really love his sense of humour. 1y
JosieG He is very funny. I follow him on Facebook and Youtube because I don't stay up late enough to catch him on tv, unfortunately. But I watch a lot of his videos, and I was EVER so pleased back when he first got his own show. 1y

Very true! And common in developing countries. In #India, you would find imitated products of almost all big international shoe and apparel brands and difference is so subtle that it's hard to notice at first sight. Interesting fact, ...once I bought adadis shoes and very few could notice the difference.
Have anyone ever had such experience?

Eggs Yes I bought leggings @ Walgreens for $5 and everyone thought they were that brand everyone talks about on Facebook (forgot the name) that cost 5x as much 2y
Janmah When the Beatles released their first album, I was dying to get it. My Mom brought home an album she thought was them. It was Meet the Bugs. A knock off, same cover but with different guys. I was mortified. Later it would become a sweet and funny story. 2y

While reading #TheAlchemist, I found one line very familiar which has the exact same meaning as a famous dialogue from a Bollywood movie #OmShantiOm. This is the line.. ?
"And, When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

Yes, this line originally appeared in the book then became famous in a Bollywood movie.???

#Amitavghosh explains the impact of global warming in very simple way and with the examples which are very much relatable to the common people's daily life.
Extreme weather events and changing climatic situations of our earth are the major areas of concern and require immediate attention.
Although nothing new has been said by the author but it force us to think seriously about climate change.
