Pickpick

This. Book. It has everything.
I loved hearing about Evelyn's and Monique's lives as she's learning more and more about life and herself through the story she's hearing.
I originally passed on this one because the synopsis makes it sound 100% historical fiction and it's not. You can get lost in the past and then get snapped back to modern day.

I started and finished this book loving it but then the more I thought about it the more loose ends I found. There were also times I thought the characters seemed to switch personalities.
The format switches between chapters and court transcripts to break it up. The court transcripts were my favorite parts to read.
All in all I think there should be a sequel to this one because I need to know what happens after this.

Last book finished in 2017! It took me a couple months since I was reading so many at once but I can't wait for the sequel!

It took me three months but I'm finally done.
So much of this book, especially the beginning and ending, resonated with me.
I feel like I understand myself better after reading this and it doesn't preach to be an extrovert like society says. I think extroverts and introverts can take pages from the others' books. This book just amplifies that.

The longer this took me to get through the less I enjoyed it. In general it was just meh. I was so excited to read a book that sings to the nerdy grammar lover part of me and with the dry British humor? Even better. Then it just fell flat.

Pickpick

I haven't stayed up past my bed time to read a book in so long but I started the last section of this one and couldn't stop.
Definitely pick this trilogy up if you get the chance.
