Mehso-so

This is the first piece of travel non-fiction I've read in a long time, mainly out of a desire to imagine I am genuinely anywhere other than my own sofa...

Overall, it's an enjoyable read if you are specifically interested in French food or cycling, but otherwise might teeter into being a bit repetitive and possibly pretentious.

Did You See Melody? | Sophie Hannah

Pickpick

I've been reading a lot of mysteries lately, and have had Sophie Hannah recommended to me several times. I enjoyed DYSM, and got through it very quickly - it's confusing and perhaps a tad convoluted in places, but there are some fantastic twists, and it's a great choice if you like books that leave you reeling once you finish the last page...

I've been reading this on the train in tiny chunks and I was shocked by how much more enjoyable it was than I'd expected. If you enjoy murder stories where the focus is placed on the surrounding relationships rather than the crime itself, I'd really recommend it!

erzascarletbookgasm I enjoyed this too. 👍 3y

Bunny: A Novel | Mona Awad

Pickpick

Bunny is twisted, sinister and funny all at the same time, and exactly the kind of thing I want to be reading on dark Autumn evenings. I'd recommend going into this knowing as little as possible - whatever you're expecting to read, it's not that.

Thank you to @Emilymdxn for the recommendation!

batsy "Twisted, sinister, and funny"—yes! I enjoyed it so much. 4y
