If someone is obsessively in love with the Dragonriders of Pern series, does anyone have suggestions of other newer fantasies to get them hooked on?

I'm addicted to books set in or about Berlin so this memoir was perfect for me. Spillman's writing is fantastic & he alternates between his childhood in West Berlin & the US with less than typical parents & his return to Berlin when East Germany collapsed. It makes me wish I too could have partied at raves held in the subway under the abandoned wall! This is absolutely going on my top 5 for the year.

Picked this up & only intended to read a sample because I'm in the middle of several books already. Big mistake! This is hilarious & informative in a fascinating train wreck way. I now follow Pittman on Twitter. He's great!

Loved the stories woven together & the ever present sense of spookiness.
