Late night read. Finished this epic fantasy late last night. Slow build of a story but in the end its so worth it. Plus I love slow burning romances and stories of female friendships. Great job Susan Denard!

This book was really upsetting to me. I had read the first book in this series a couple years ago and had picked this book up a while back. My first attempt at reading this book I was disappointed that an amazing Alice in Wonderland retelling turned into a high school drama story. So I put it down. I picked it back up this week and I read almost to the end but I can't finish it. She tries to pack so much info and tell you so much it becomes slow.
