PSA: The new Percy Jackson musical is wonderful. Check it out if you love Percy Jackson and Musicals.

Lord of Shadows | Cassandra Clare

She flung herself down onto her seat, leaning her head on her hand. “ ‘Draw me like one of your French girls.‘ ” Julian grinned. “I hate that movie,” he said. “You know I do.” Emma sat up indignantly. “The first time we watched Titanic, you cried.” “I had seasonal allergies,” Jules said. He‘d started to draw again, but his smile still lingered.

Just finished this book. I really enjoy Apollo's POV. It's so fun and different. I like that Calypso and Leo featured in this one as well.

Just finished reading this. I enjoyed it very much. While it was not the sort of thing I would want or expect in a sequel novel to the Harry Potter series, I think it was a very good Harry Potter play. The use of time travel and flash back dream sequences allowed us to see familiar moments and characters that we love. The new characters were great stage roles, and there was plenty of lovely dramatic dialogue that I would have enjoyed performing.

I was on the fence about reading this, since it's a play I feel it should be seen performed first. But there's no chance I'll be able to see it anytime soon! I was a theatre major, so I've read lots of plays. I'm thinking that's an advantage over many people who are going to be reading this. I'm worried that some people won't have the right expectations going in.

I love this depiction of how Narnia was created as well as the back story of where the White Witch and the Wardrobe came from. Great Prequel.

I want that last page read at my funeral. This book has some of the best quotes out of the whole series, and alot of good allusions to apologetics. Great parallels to the modern world that still work today, like the ridiculousness of the Tashlan lie.

I love the Chronicles of Narnia as a whole, but this is probably my favorite. There's no part of it that I don't care for, every line is a treat. I think that the undragoning of Eustace is a beautiful illustration of salvation.

I love this book. I've read it many times since my childhood. I think that not just every girl, but every person should read it. It's especially good if you have siblings (I'm the oldest of 3 girls) or even better to understand a sibling relationship if you don't have siblings.

This is one of my favorites from this series. Having Rilla as the main character was almost like a return to the first few books in the series when Anne young. The World War 1 setting makes it fresh, it is a treat to see all of Anne and Gilbert's children grown up, and I really love Kenneth Ford.

The Prodigal God was excellent, and it definitely brought to light some things in the parable commonly called "The Prodigal Son" that I had never considered. This book also reinforced some exciting aspects of the gospel and God's grace that, yes, I knew but the way they were presented was so exciting. It made me think about them anew and I look forward to recommending this book to new believers as well as life-long Christians.

This is my favorite Lewis. I remember the first time I read it. When I was finished I wanted to go back to the beginning and start over again.

My favorite of the Anne books. I love the college years, the many proposals, and of course the thrilling last few pages!

Grandma Singer was a fearsome creature. If we ever did have a war under my rule, my plan was to send her to the front lines. She‘d come home holding the enemy by his ear within a week.
