Loved the strong female characters, the fearless look at recovering from depression, and the truthful acknowledgement of how simultaneously difficult and rewarding it is to be a mother.

This was like a delicious piece of cake that you want to savor but just can't help yourself from devouring. Beautiful writing.

This one caught my eye at the library and I just couldn't let it go! Can't wait to see if it meets my expectations.

I haven't been this captivated by a novel since I read the first Hunger Games! Seriously so GOOD!

This novel had a somewhat predicable story line, but I throughly enjoyed analyzing all the parallelism and symbolism in the relationship between mother and daughter. I especially enjoyed Clover's character.

Libby1 A McC Smith is one of my favourite authors but I just could not get into this one. Sadly. I'm glad you enjoyed it! 8y

What does any man see of life but a few summers, a few winters? We look at mountains and call them eternal, and so they seem...but in the course of time, mountains rise and fall, rivers change their courses, stars call from the sky, and great cities sink beneath the sea...Everything changes.
