Literary foreplay. I was super stoked to get off of work this evening because during my "down time"at work, I was cruising my library's site and got all excited and bookgasmed out because a few books from my TBR list were available. Books-better than chocolate and almost as good as sex.

I think as a whole this was a good book and worth a read. But, I was disappointed that the ending was that of a typical romance novel.

I end up bailing on a lot of books that might turn out to be good.If a book hasn't grabbed me in the first twenty pages I give up on it.Unfortunately, a lot of books start out really good but then get sucky half way through. I gave up on this one after about seven pages.

I rarely read short stories, but this collection is breathtaking. Each of these short stories have more depth and richness than most novels. The last story in the book,"The Headstong Historian", is exceptionally beautiful.

I loved the first book in the series, but this one fell flat to me. I could only tolerate a few chapters before giving up. The characters were boring and uninteresting.

Hell is when you are only a quarter of the way through two good books and then two Kindle loans come in from the library. I just cain't....I cain't handle the stress.I need a few shots of absinthe to help me work this out 😱.

After wanting to read this for a couple of years, I am struggling to stay with it.I'm two-hundred pages in.

TheBookKeepers It‘s definitely a slow burn read. I could only digest a little a day, but ended up absolutely loving the story once I did finish!! 4mo

When I was a kid I was obsessed and fascinated by the Black Dahlia and Lizzy Borden cases. I loved reading this stuff and the graphic crime scene photos in True Detective magazine. I started reading this stuff in elementary school.

I've really loved this series, but I was expecting the finale of the series to have a bit more meat to it,but I'd still recommend it to fans of the series.I hope these characters make a return someday.

The writing itself was beautiful, but the story was just all over the place and confusing.I had to keep going back to re-read paragraphs hoping for clarity on whatever paragraph I was currently reading. I got frustrated and gave up around page 60.

I was very disappointed in this book, I found it lacked depth and the plot underdeveloped. There were no twists and turns and I felt that, given the subject matter, the book would be more intense and dynamic.

Romance novels are probably among my least favorite genres, but I am so glad I took the time to read this one.Intelligent multi-layered characters, the heroine wasn't a virgin and the book didn't end with the lead character getting pregnant.I loved it and I am looking forward to reading more of the authors books.

I lost interest early on after her stalker miraculously managed to figure out her alarm code.I plan on giving it another try when I have the patience to try and get through it.
