They say that the second book in a series always falls flat, but ACOMAF is SOOOO much better than the first book! There's just so much more in this book and story, from amazing world building, the introduction of more great characters, fantastic character developments, and a romance that had a much better connection than the first.

Between the blood and gore, you've got laughs, friendship, and a bit of romance, plus some unexpected twists and turns that'll keep you gripped until the very end. Highly recommended for fantasy lovers and those willing to get covered in a little bit of blood.

Note: this book is graphic at times in regards to violence, & I'm pretty sure the F-bomb was dropped on every single page. Also, there's a explicit sex scene or two.

FULL REVIEW ON BLOG!

It's only taken me three years, but I've finally read this fantastic book! It definitely lived up to the hype surrounding it and was a great start to the series. As someone who's read a lot of new adult contemporaries, it was great to read a new adult fantasy.

The characters and world we are introduced to in this first book opens it up for what we see and learn of them in the following books.

Never have I laughed out loud so much while reading a book - and when you're reading this at 1am with people asleep in the house, it's really hard to keep quiet! I swear every page had some hilarious comment or cultural reference that I couldn't help but laugh at. I felt right a home with these characters!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and really recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, hilarious and fun story!

Note To Self is a continuation of A Work In Progress, reflecting on the past two years of Connor's life where he's gone through a lot of change, heartbreak and realisation. In these pages, he looks at his first major breakup, dealing with depression and trying to live life to the fullest. All this is told through a series of stunning photographs, beautiful poems and short essays.

A must-read.
