Currently reading EoS (finally), and I definitely do not recall ever seeing anything about this in any spoilers I‘ve seen (and I‘ve seen a lot). Definitely interested in seeing what‘s about to happen with this.
This is probably the saddest part so far in the book series-which is quite different from the movies and tv series.
And it's even sadder *because* Toothless isn't a Night Fury in the books. I'm not even sure they exist in the book world. He's really small, and so he can't defend himself very well. 🙁

I read some spoilers and I know who Aelin actually is, so this looks like it's going to be quite interesting. I sort of hate knowing who she is my first time reading, because I don't get the thrill of the discovery as I'm actually reading, but it was still a shock when I first found out!
