I was excited to read this prequel and find out more about Levana. I felt sympathy for what her sister did to her, but man Levana destroyed that sympathy quick!!! She is insane!!

feminismandyoga I just put my husband on to this series and he's at Fairest also. He keeps coming home going on about the new levels of crazy she hits. Its been so much fun. 3y
ashley_liz I just finished Fairest and I tried to be sympathetic but ... she is psychotic! She thinks she justifies what she did... but she can't!!! 3y
Literarydust @StoredFeminism Yes! I wish I could get my husband to read!! 😂😂 3y

Literarydust @ashley_liz I know!!! She is so delusional!!! 3y
raelaschoenherr This was such an interesting read for me! I love seeing the villain's side. 3y
BookNerdBritt I LOVED this book. I'm definitely a sucker for the villain/antagonist backstory, especially because it was not so much about trying to win her sympathy points as just get to the root of her awfulness. It takes a skilled author to have me 100% invested in a character who's the worst human in the world (or in this case, worst Lunar on the moon). 3y
Literarydust @BookNerdBritt Well said Britt!! 3y

I wasn't that big of a fan of Marie's Legend series except for that magnificent ending. This series, however, has been an awesome ride! I am not going to lie I was bleeding tears all over the place with this book. The characters I want to hate, but I love them. Yes even Teren! That ending! This ending was one of the best I have ever read. Adelina and being in her head has been an intense thing and especially with this book. Loved it!

Fullmetalmarshmallow Can't wait to get my copy!!! 3y

Good start to this Falling Kingdoms spin off. I thought it would be weird that some of it takes place in modern day and some in Mytica, but it didn't bother me. There were 3 main POV's Crys and Farrell who at first I found both annoying, and Maddox who was definitely my favorite but probably because his takes place in Mytica. The other two grew on me though. There were some twists that surprised me, and I can't wait for book two.

I was a little worried that this sequel wasn't going to be from Twylla's point of view, and I still miss her point of view, but I also really liked Errin. Things didn't go as I expected them to and there were quite a few surprises. The middle lagged a little for me, but that was a five star ending. I can't wait for the next one!

Loved this book! I only read contemporary some of the time, but I was intrigued because of the era it was set in. The characters all had their flaws and their uniqueness, and Paul after everything he has been through is such a sweetheart. These people were just so brave to live during this time while everyone today is just worried about a "selfie" and I loved the history and everything else within these pages.

First off this is nothing like Red Queen or The Hunger Games. I hate when they try to compare books, and it is totally different. I loved this book, and Nemesis is an MC that was one like I have never read before. She was ruthless and lovable at the same time. I loved seeing her become more human but still maintain her protective stances. Towards the end things get pretty darn intense!

The words within these pages were spellbinding, and I was captivated by the adventure, the friendship, and the love a child has for a parent. I normally avoid most middle grade books, but I loved the Shatter Me series so much I knew I had to read this, and it makes me want to go back to my childhood. Five fantastical magical stars.

At first the first few chapters were a struggle, and I kind of wanted to put it down. I am glad I didn't do this! I feel like this is Pride and Prejudice mixed with Harry Potter! It was exciting for most of the book, and Henrietta is a great character. The magic was a-a-amazing, and the romance in the book has not really taken form yet, but there are 2 possiblities, but I am actually hoping for one of the other boys who is very Mr. Darcy like!!!
