I am listening to this and it's been so amazing. I'm a tad young to have experienced his earlier stuff first hand but Born in the USA shaped me as a youngster. What a poet and down to earth dude. Highly recommend and I'm only about halfway done! I had to take a music break.

Amidst my Hamilton obsession, this gem has been high on my list!!

The moment when she was so overtaken by her mom's painting of her grandmother and then in the next breath ruined the painting. Such a real and raw childlike reaction to the chaos of her young life.

I loved this book. It takes a very sensitive topic and humanizes those affected and intertwines family melodrama. Not the lighthearted summer read one yearns for this time of year but still a compulsive page turner.
