Bone chilling! This is a psychological thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. I love when a book can do that.

A coming-of-age graphic novel that brought me back to those turbulent years full of so many conflicting emotions and changes. I remember it all very clearly and connected with Astrid. Excellent read.

The Language of Flowers: A Novel | Vanessa Diffenbaugh
Pickpick

Heart wrenching. My heart aches for Victoria. I so much want her to be given a reason to trust in humanity. I long for her to learn that she can depend on the unconditional love of another person for the first time in her life, without being proven wrong. I want her to find peace and joy. This book made me feel so much.

"But Wolf Hollow was also where I learned to tell the truth in that year before I turned twelve: about things from which refuge was impossible. Wrong, even. No matter how tempting." - Lauren Wolk, Wolf Hollow.

The Wild Robot | Peter Brown

"Maybe Roz really was defective, and some glitch in her programming had caused her to accidentally become a wild robot. Or maybe Roz was designed to think and learn and change; she had simply done those things better than anyone could have imagined. However it happened, Roz felt lucky to have lived such an amazing life." - Peter Brown, The Wild Robot, p. 268.

Crenshaw | Katherine Applegate

"'Here‘s the thing, Jackson. Life is messy. It‘s complicated. It would be nice if life were always like this.' He drew an imaginary line that kept going up and up. 'But life is actually a lot more like this.' He made a jiggly line that went up and down like a mountain range. 'You just have to keep trying.'" - Katherine Applegate, Crenshaw.

Comical characters and plot. Flora is a "natural-born cynic" who learns to take a chance on hope.

A thought-provoking adventure filled with lively characters and humor. I most enjoyed the chapters where Milo, Tick and Humbug were in Ignorance struggling to outrun the demons.

Funny! I loved Jack's character. His personality was adorable. It was entertaining to read about Jack's growth over that one impactful summer as he learned the history of his town, Norvelt, and the people in it.

Beautiful! I've never been particularly interested in poetry and am even less interested in sports, but I very much enjoyed reading The Crossover. It was a realistic and honest book about life and family. I loved the characters and the style of writing. It was simply beautiful.

A delightful story about the beauty of being true to who you are, finding the positive in the worst of situations, and the magic of story-telling.

Charming read! Nina courageously, and uncharacteristically, seizes the opportunity to change her life for the better, much to the surprise and amazement of everyone she knows, including herself.
