The premise was a good one, “An inspiring, thought-provoking exploration of what it means to live a meaningful life”. This book was written to convince the white, upperclass read: privileged conservatives, Republicans that living a life solely for your own success and only looking out for number one will not lead to true joy. He‘s trying to convince his reader to care out their neighbor, the community. Sad to think they need such convincing.

This was a great summer read. Not too heavy and not too light either. Great discussion starter. What would you do if you couldn‘t live the life you wanted to?

I started listening to this on my commute to and from work to help with my work stress. I love that Brene is reading the book! I couldn‘t imagine anyone else reading it. I just love her.

Itchyfeetreader I enjoyed this one to and from work. She always just seems so sensible. 6y

I loved this book! This is going on my short list of favorites. I loved this passage about finding the middle path.

My daughter (12 years old) asked me to read this. She loved it! It was ok to me. She liked the themes and loves graphic novels.

This is such a great read. I love how she keeps the story line grounded in reality. I could imagine having the same thoughts, feelings and conversations. The characters are authentic and I feel connected to each one.
