Septimus Heap, the apprentice to Marcia the Extraordinary Wizard, must have an attempt at dark magic before he is able to complete his apprenticeship. During his journey, Septimus must save Alther Mella, an accidentally banished past Extra Ordinary Wizard, in order to save his friends and everyone else in the castle from the consuming Darke Domain and the danger it presents.

Jenna.Sawatzky I would recommend this book to anyone that likes reading fantasy, particularly about wizards. The book, however, is targeted toward a slightly younger audience, but I still enjoyed it. The story is written in the third person omniscient point of view, as the narrator can switch between the perspectives of different characters from chapter to chapter; the narrator does not focus on just Jenna and Septimus, the two main protagonists. 2y

Pickpick

After being accused of kidnapping a child one night at Market Depot, Emira Tucker is humiliated and begins to question her role as the Chamberlain's babysitter. At the same time, Alix Chamberlain, Emira's employer, struggles to find the motivation and work ethic that she had had before moving back to Philidelphia from her New York City apartment. If you like dramas, you will like this book.

Jenna.Sawatzky This book deals with themes of Discrimination based on race and class. This can be shown, as the main cause for the accusations in the high-end market was the differences in the skin colour between Emira and Chamberlain's daughter. 2y
MissYaremcio Nicely done Jenna! This book is on my TBR! 6/6 2y
