I loved this book! I was quickly drawn in to the short chapters and I enjoyed how it was written in parts. It gave a unique voice to the story, though I did want to hear more!⁣
This was more a legal drama and about uncovering the truth through pieces rather than a thriller in my eyes. It also dissects a family and shows another side to what it means to protect the ones you love. It wasn‘t predictable to me, and I really liked how it ended.

This is a beautifully written story of the Stanhope and Gleason families spanning the course of 4 decades. They are torn apart by a tragic situation, but are also forever bound by their secrets and history. ⁣
⁣The characters are developed so eloquently that they are incredibly relatable.
⁣⁣I‘m not usually a huge fan of character driven books, but this slow burn novel was a wonderful read and made me feel all the feels. I highly recommend it!
