I woke suddenly in the middle of the night, unsure what was happening. The bedroom around me was almost pitch black. I was sure I had been pulled out of a state of deep sleep, jerked awake by something, but I didn‘t know what. THUD. THUD. THUD.

WOW! I am blown away! A Queen in Hiding, an amazing novel of treason, for power & greed in a magical world of sorcery and Gods. An epic beginning to The Nine Realms with precise, easy to follow world building. Oh! Love the animals! Treasure found. Definitely a keeper. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Gutter Prayer | Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan

A graphic tale of magical war between humanity, mages, and mythical creatures. A gigantic world building of characters. Some are likeable, others are not. Three thieves brought together by fate to battle an age old war and an all too consuming power for greed. A powerful beginning in an epic new tale in fantasy. The Gutter Prayer, first installment of The Black Iron Legacy, my first of Gareth Hanrahan is an amazing work of fiction.

Blood of Elves, the first full novel of The Witcher, and probably the second season of Netflix adaptation. There‘s a lot to take here, the aftermath of the Battle at Sodden Hill, the training of young Ciri, Geralt & Yennifer‘s complicated relationship. This novel are fast paced, jammed full of sorcery and mystical creatures. A fascinating look into the world of Geralt of Rivia.

Legacy of Ash, a novel of sorcery and magic. My first of Matthew Ward. An entertaining epic battle of good and evil. A different angle and plot lines into the midst of light and darkness. A gigantic world building process. Love every characters. Anxiously awaiting Legacy of Steel and what had become of Viktor Akadra.

Another Netflix adaptation, a grand season one and a thirst for more prompted me to pick up the series. The Last Wish, an amazing backstory of characters introduced in The Witcher. A minor difference in names, places and events. No biggie, no harm done. Absolutely fantastic read! As you read on, visualize Henry Cavill as The Witcher. Perfect!

“War without fire is as worthless as sausages without mustard.” — Henry V. Always love the war and conflicts of the First Law World. Best Served Cold is a heart pounding action and adventure fantasy novel. Monza Murcatto, hell bent on avenging her brother‘s death. She will stop at nothing to get it done, found an ally in Nicomo Cosca. Shivers! A man trying to do the right thing. I believed Monza destroyed him. A likeable character in Friendly.

The Priests are the root of all evil. Well, Basrahip and his Spider Priests actually, and Geder Palliako walked right into it. His naïveté turned puppet, will lead his nation into war, but the conquest of victories will never be enough for the tyrant Lord Regent. An engrossing epic tale.

This novel kept me up last night. A suspenseful and engaging mystery crime whodunnit. A simple plot and a hunch on a murderer was spot on. An unexpected accomplice. He wasn‘t what I had in mind. Nevertheless, I was at the edge of my seat, toes of my feet and kept me glued to the pages. A mystery thriller worth reading. 4⭐️‘s

The Kings Blood, book two of the Dagger and the Coin is an enjoyable read. The characters in this novel pretty much stayed the same. Geder Palliako and the birth of his tyranny. Master Kit is a likable character, he and Marcus will embark on a journey to find a solution to battle the Spider Goddess and her Priest. Also, banking and economics, an interesting blend of plot in a fantasy novel. #TheDaggerandtheCoin 4⭐️‘s

“The Whisper Man” got me all tangled up! Hooked, line and sinker! An impressive debut novel. A story of three generation of father and son complicated and complex relationship. A serial killer and a twenty years crime in a town called Featherbank. A page turner novel, and I must say have chosen well, for it kept me entertained on a long travel home. Best mystery novel 2019. Kudos to you Mr. North, for I was amazed and left of wanting more. 5⭐️‘s

With Superior Glokta‘s witty conversations to himself, as well as the first Magi‘s journey to the North and his hodgepodge group of characters, it‘s grimdark at its finest! With the best action and adventure sequences, Lord Grimdark could not have written it any better! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #TheFirstLaw

The Dragon‘s Path, my first of Daniel Abraham. It‘s in world building stages, but hey! It‘s Fantasy and right up my alley. Geder Palliako, Cithrin, Marcus, and Yardem are a few of the characters that‘ll play a big role. Oh yeah! There is something about Master Kit. A mystery likely to uncover. Looking forward to a magical path to war. Loyalty questioned and a plot of treason, for greed and power. #TheDaggerandtheCoin
