The Hobbit is the prequel to the book Lord of the Rings. We find the character Bilbo Baggins on a journey with a group of dwarves. Throughout there journey they come across many dangers such as goblins,orcs, and spiders. By the end of the novel Bilbo ends up helping the dwarves take back the lonely mountain. If you like books that contain a bunch of adventure and obstacles I highly recommend. The book is written in third person omniscient.

Summary-Hatchet is a book about a 13 year old Brian Robeson and how he ends up in a plane crash in the middle of the Canadian Forrests and has nothing but himself and his hatchet to survive, he has to overcome the wilderness and also accept the fact that his parents divorced because of a terrible secret that only he knows. Motif-the Hatcher is a reoccurring symbol in the book due to the fact that it‘s the only thing that can help him survive.
