The Tent | Margaret Atwood
Pickpick

I loved this collection of...excerpts? Margaret Atwood is somewhat removed from her novels in this collection. I loved it. Such concise language and powerful imagery, but with lots of humor. She explores everything from cats to imagining what it would be like if Chicken Little‘s apocalyptic ideations went too far. Easy book to pick up and not put down. But the mini essays make it something you can also leave and come back to.

Incredible collection of poetry. The triptych on Bowie is wonderful. Excellent language and exploration of the endlessness of space and time and the relationships we attempt to contain within it.

This is one of those books I like to revisit. I have read it 3 times. Next time I think I‘d like to read it in Spanish. Classic novel.

I‘m surprised so few would recommend this book. Maybe it was just timely for me to read. I loved the reflection on the history of photography and ballooning. Then coupled with the loss of a loved one.

catiewithac I love everything by Julian Barnes! 5y

I really enjoyed the way this book was written. A new take on the old teen romance novel. Very enjoyable and surprisingly insightful.

Here I Am: A Novel | Jonathan Safran Foer

Excellent read. This explores the differing cultures of a a family separated by geography. All on the verge of completely falling apart because of foreign conflict and personal problems. I love how the author explores the minds within the family as the tumble toward divorce. So many excellent lines.
