This was a bit far off from the original but I totally see the frame work. This was kind of a light take despite its dark demeanor. It was groundbreaking literature but I think for fantasy fans it's definitely worth the read. That ending was barbaric. Can't wait for book 2!!

This book has so many amazing qualities I don't even know where to begin! It's the perfect adventure, suspense, self discovery, love, family story I have read in quite some time Do not let the blurb deceive you! It's about so much more than a flower 🌺🌷🌹

I loved this story! It had a very down the rabbit hole kind of feel where the lines of reality are blurred around the edges. The moral - People aren't just one thing. This wasn't magical realism but more of wild imaginations with some inadvertent intensity. Rec. for those who like wistful things. 👑

Ughhh just no. Things that didn't work - angry POV who think he's funny but.... Isn't (yes he is war but still) 2. Secretive plot that has a shitty reveal so late in the book that is ceases to matter 3. Annoying flashback narrative. Not for me 👎🏼

Aladdin 2.0! Best retelling I never knew my adult self could have wanted for a childhood favorite! Steeped with jinn lore and themes of honesty and integrity and finding freedom with in yourself.

This right here is the reason I began blogging! I need to tell everyone how much I loved this series! Starting Lady Midnight and couldn't be more excited! Highly recommended especially if you dig historical fiction vibes.

Such a cute book. Seriously just picked this one up out if cover lust but my 4 year old loved it. Beautiful illustrations and great message to boot!
