Personal summer homework: pairing a horrifying classic novel (novella?) with a horrifying YA novel. Should be fun, right!?

Thankful to the previous owner of this novel who translated terrifying droog-speak for me!

"Vicious" is a nightmare of a superhero story. It's a chilling blend of the superpowers we've read about in our childhood and the dark mythology of Neil Gaiman's "American Gods". The characters are charismatic and terrifying, and the novel was engaging through to the last sentence.

Loved this funny and fascinating fantasy! The worlds of Red, White, Grey, and Black London are believably done and provide a new set of worlds to fall into. Kell, Lila, and Rhy have piqued my interest - I can't wait to read more about them in them in the next two books!
