Postmortem | Patricia Cornwell

Our latest podcast episode is about the first half of Postmortem by Patricia Cornwell- a book I'd read when I was probably too young for it (with this cover!) and was happy to revisit! We talk about the wave of forensic entertainment it ushered in and dig into the plot. Search 'Book Club Shmook Club' in your podcast app for the episode!

Our podcast episode about Part 1 of The Cursed Child is up...we discuss the script format, how the stage experience must compare to the script, PANJU, whether the "cursed child" is meant to be literal or just a concept and predictions for Part 2! Search "Book Club Shmook Club" in iTunes or whatever podcast app you use.

Happy for a rainy day to start in on this so we can talk about on the podcast- were having Harry Potter mania on Book Club Shmook Club, starting this week with Potter Watch, our mini-series going back over all the movies leading up to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

The Girls: A Novel | Emma Cline

Mehso-so

We both ended up agreeing with one of our listeners and feeling like The Girls was about a 3 out of 5...it was compelling but it made us feel like we needed a shower, and we wished the ins and outs of the cult and characters motivations were explored a little more thoroughly. You can hear us expound on it on our podcast Book Club Shmook Club- search the name in your podcast app!

On the current episode of the podcast: the first half of The Girls by Emma Cline. Will and I both simultaneously like it but also feel grossed out by it. I'd be lying if I said the book's cover didn't have anything to do with making me want to read it- pretty much neck and neck with its content. 😎

BookClubShmookClub @Litsybookclub We're right there with you guys! We've been talking about it on the podcast but can't wait to talk about it on your page at the end of the month, too! 8y
