Days Without End | Sebastian Barry

Pickpick

Audible listen. The combination of Barry‘s stunning prose along with Aidan Kelly‘s superb narration made for a very special read. The descriptions of the Great Plains in the Indian Wars and the horrors of the Civil War were especially memorable. I read that Barry made his protagonist gay as a point of support of his own gay son. It was a bit of a distraction, but lovingly written. Ending is a bit abrupt -guess I wanted DWE to be book without end
