My second favorite of her books, I think this one is miles above her more well known "Indian in the Cupboard" series. Try to get this as an audiobook with Banks narrating. You will never regret it. Too bad so few people get it when I quote from this one.

This is my favorite Banks book. While less quotable than "Midas," and very, very short, the imagery in this book is some of the most amazing I've ever read. You can probably read this in less than an hour. But it will be a great hour.
