Handmaid's Tale | Margaret Atwood

This one.... this is very much a 'lest we forget' type of book. Everyone should read it. Everyone should be aware of how quickly your rights can be taken away, how quickly your entire life can change... and how the human spirit just never ever stops fighting. #litsyriotlive #bookstoliveby

Another non-fiction #booktoliveby , written by a badass female that I look up to. This taught me that it's okay to ask for help; that it's okay to lean on and depend on others. Ugh! Read this. Feel better. #litsyriotlive

This book gets me through so much stuff. It taught me about more than I can say- humility, female friendships, finding light in times of darkness. I've read it and I've listened to it and I'll definitely read it again. "Good for you, not for me" has become a motto that I live by. #litsyriotlive #bookstoliveby

These books! I didn't expect to enjoy them half as much as I have been. Naomi is a helluva writer, I've loved everything I've read by her so far.

BFG | Roald Dahl
Pickpick

I didn't read any Dahl as a kid, so this was my second one after Charlie earlier this year. I didn't realize I was reading it on Dahl's birthday but I think it was appropriate how it worked out. I was a bit shocked at how violent it was, but I loved how cleverly he hid swear words. Overall it was a fun story for adults who don't take literature *too* seriously.

Amy17 (I lied, I read Fantastic Mr. Fox late last year as well. Oops!) 8y
