I have the worlds worst memory so I sometimes felt myself trying to remember things that have happened in the past 7 books. But it really doesn't matter. This was a fun book - I liked revisiting these characters - but I'm not so sure I'm a fan (in general) of time travel. It gets confusing and too many "rules" are made up. But overall really enjoyed this!

Straight Man | Richard Russo

Very dry and funny read. This book caught me in a book slump and it took me a while - but it was "me and not you" with this book.

Almost gave this 3 stars because there were several times I wanted to stick this book in the freezer (a la Joey Tribbiani). I realized why I don't love apocalyptic novels... they scare the sh*t out of me! But I didn't want to ding this book because I'm uncomfortable with the subject matter, it was an incredibly interesting book. Mandel has an unusual style but it worked for me. She manages to write both "beautiful" and "terrifying" equally well.

I AM a bad feminist!! And that's ok! This book was hard at times to read because it challenged my thinking... but that's a GREAT thing! (I.e.: I will never feel the same way about the book The Help....) I feel like I wanna go have a glass of wine with Roxane Gay.... we could solve the problems of the world! Or at least get really drunk and talk about grey's anatomy...

Ok finally finished this! Great YA read without being too sappy or melodramatic. One of the better ones I've read in a while!

Yowza. This is the second book I've read about Scientology (the first was Going Clear) and I STILL don't understand this crazy religion! But this was an entertaining book... Glad Leah found her way to the other side...

This book will be with me for a long time - if not forever. Matt Desmond put you in the shoes of people experiencing eviction - and they are uncomfortable shoes. But important read - for everyone.

I read this book practically in one sitting (nearly 5 hour plane ride). It was good enough to keep me awake and engaged and wondering what the HECK was wrong with the Donato family?!

This book. Wow. I finished it a few days ago and it is still sitting right on my heart. Everyone EV-ER-YYYY one needs to read this. I don't often reread books, but you can bet I will come back to this book many times. It's exquisitely heartbreaking...

Liked this more than I though! Lagercrants did a very respectable job carrying on the legacy of Larsson and his cast of characters! #MillenniumSeries

Very sweet and well written book. I had put this book down when I was traveling and picked it back up and was right back in the world created by Baurmeister.

This one was a slog. I am giving Nesbo the benefit of the doubt because I've read him before. But I don't know if I wasn't in the right mood for this one, or the translation was too clunky but the story seemed hard to follow. "Too clever" for itself... But probably just me and my funky mood!
