Picked up this pretty lady at the library used book section 😍 A cozy set in Texas is kind of a rare thing. They're usually in CA, New England, NYC, or NC. Like, a ton of them are set in one of those four locations 😳 #ilovecozies #interactingwithguysfromhighschool #givesmeheartburn #souncomfortable #yuck

drokka This one is pretty good. I liked the secondary characters better though. 7y
queerbookreader @drokka Did you try the second one and see if the main character improved any? Was there just not character development with her or is she just not written very dynamically? 7y
drokka I just realised that I completely missed your question. I don't know if you've read the next one or not, but I felt it had a lot of potential, but was just a lot of doing things against common sense and a bit illogical. I had problems with it, and the protagonist did not manage to endear me. I'll try the third one, but if it's not a hit, that'll be the end of me and this series. 7y

Ok. I didn't throw it across the room, but the book was smaltzy and boring. I didn't finish it and I don't regret it.

Mindyrecycles I finished it but it was pretty bad. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I finished it, felt the same....but was glad I moved onto book 2, I thought book 2 & 3 were better once Diana came into her own a bit and it lost the first books 'Twilight' vibes. 7y
lisakoby @Mindyrecycles @rivited_reader_melissa Glad I'm not alone but maybe I'll give the second book a try... 7y

"...they staggered in the light, collapsed and died, right next to people. At night, in corridors and side-streets, one could clearly hear the tiny squeaks as they expired. In the morning, on the outskirts of town, you would find them stretched out in the gutter with a little floret of blood on their pointed muzzles, some blown up and rotting, others stiff, with their whiskers still standing up." #happyhalloween #scaretober #yuck ???

Kathrin I almost bought that book at the library sale over the weekend, but I kind of didn't like The Stranger so I kept on moving. 7y
Eugeniavb @Kathrin I read The stranger when I was in school and don't remember much. This one starts out really well. We will see how it goes. 7y
