LoveToReadLiveToRead Love the x-men challenge! How have you tackled it? Did you start with the earliest ones and work your way through to the latest ones? 6y
xicanti @LoveToReadLiveToRead yep! At first I planned to read ONLY Uncanny X-Men, since it's complete on Marvel Unlimited, but past a certain point there are so many crossovers that a straight, one-series readthrough doesn't really work. So I switched to reading everything! 6y
LoveToReadLiveToRead @xicanti cool, bet that‘s taken some time! I‘ve been reading quite a bit of x-men recently but not in any order really, jumping around all over the place. Been enjoying the Charles Soule Astonishing X-men and the Rogue & Gambit current series. 6y
xicanti @LoveToReadLiveToRead yeah, I've been at it for a couple years now, with a fair bit of jumping around! (I always tell people you can read the X-Men in any order because they never shut up about anything major that's happened to them.) I've slowed down a bit since the start of 2018, but once I finish the last seven issues of X-Men: The Hidden Years, I'll have read every dedicated X-book on Marvel Unlimited. 6y

Officially, the Number One Rule of X-Men is "Professor X Is The Worst."

Secretly, it's "It's Always The Shadow King." Even if it LOOKS like it's Mr Sinister, or Apocalypse, or whoever, we can be assured a retcon will someday wander into our lives and prove the Shadow King was behind everything all along.

(Thank you for indulging me in this fandom-specific tangent.) #xmenproblems #comics

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Don‘t know if you watched the “Wes Anderson‘s X-men” tv show Legion, but... well.. guess who the villain turned out to be? 6y
xicanti @TobeyTheScavengerMonk I'm still waiting for my library to buy it on DVD, but this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. 6y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk Apologies if that was too spoilery. 6y
xicanti @TobeyTheScavengerMonk nah, it's all good. I never worry overmuch about X-Men spoilers to begin with, and any time anything psychically fishy happens I'm always like, "IT'S OBVIOUSLY THE SHADOW KING!" anyways. 6y
GarthRanzz Got my six issues ready to read as the first collection this weekend for #24in48. Been waiting to start this one. Just hope it‘s better than Gold and Blue have been. 6y

(Don't worry; various teams of X-Kids foiled the whole baby-sacrifice scheme. Granted, the government did step in, seize control of the babies, and raise them in Limbo to become anti-mutant weapons, because nothing's ever simple for the X-Men.)

The X-Menest thing of all is when you meet your future self on a secret island while you're experiencing temporary power loss and Professor X is being The Worst. #xmenproblems

Y'know, the X-Men ARE awful murdery for a group that always says they don't kill. #xmenproblems
