pickThis book is a challenge to rethink what you think you know about the apostle Paul and his teachings. He did not create a new religion called Christianity. Using many Scriptural references and scholarly works, Hegg conclusively proves Paul was Torah-observant and taught others to be the same. Any person who claims belief in Jesus (Yeshua) ahould read this book.

pick⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was a re-read for me. This book points out the importance of Torah in the life of any believer. It contradicts the anti-Torah teaching of the modern church and corrects much misinterpretation of Paul. It is excellently and clearly written. It is not a deep, scholarly tome, but one of simplicity written from the desire to the whole of Scripture honored and obeyed.
This will be a much needed re-read. Very informative and eye opening.
pickAbsolutely terrific book. Dennis Prager‘s commentary on the first book of the Torah: Genesis. No matter your religious persuasion, whether you‘re a devout believer or an atheist or someone who‘s never opened the Bible in your life, this book makes accessible the book of Genesis. Prager devotes a lot of time to explaining the meaning of words and phrases in the context of the original Hebrew it was written in. There are life lessons here for all.
pickA fascinating biography of Moses. The author quotes traditional interpretions but also contemporary literature and psychoanalysis. I enjoyed reading the chapter: Lost Identities Deronda and Austerlitz about lost Jewish identities in Eliot's Deronda, Sebald's Austerlitz and Exodus, i.e. comparing the main character's experience with Moses'. Interesting!
Book show score #1. The Biblical scholar in me screamed buy these. And of course I listened. I am excited about the commentaries that are in both books.
