3rd time reading Persuasion. Originally read as teenager and didn't get it. Then a few years ago I came across this Blog Post from Modern Mrs Darcy. "Pride and Prejudice should be read in the spring; Emma in the summer. But Persuasion is for fall"
https://modernmrsdarcy.com/books/persuasion-3/

Because of that I reread #througholdereyes and throughly enjoyed it. This made me think of that. ??

Pickpick

With St Patrick's day this week I got in the mood to reread this Trilogy. Wanted to see if stood the test of time. Originally read it way back when it came out in the 90's. Made me really want to visit Ireland. It was a dream come true to visit in 2012. Would love to go back! 🍀
I'm giving it a pick for old times sake.
Thoughts on each book below.👇

Suet624 I know nothing about this series, but I'm in love with Ireland and now I think I might just have to read these books. Thank you so much for brightening my day with the photo. 4y
Suet624 That's awesome. 4y
Crinoline_Laphroaig One of my favorite memories of our trip. Opening scene takes place here at Loop Head. It's down the coast from the more touristy Cliffs of Moher. There were 6 people there the day we visited. No fences or guard rails. Just a stunning view.
Himself turns to me and says "This place is awesome. "Which Guide Book did you find this in? Lonely Planet?"
Me: "Nora Roberts -

Crinoline_Laphroaig Proof that you can learn things from reading Romance. 😆 4y
Crinoline_Laphroaig Actually read this 2and in series first way back when. Can see why I loved it.It's the tea and scones! Main Character owns B & B in County Clare. She the perfect innkeeper. Always baking. Sheets drying on the line. Gorgeous flower beds. She dreams of building a greenhouse. There's the scenery of Ireland. Rolling green hills with standing stones and cows. People riding bicycles to pubs. It's the Ireland of postcards.

Crinoline_Laphroaig How does this fare on rereading 20plus years later. It's dated. Especially the pop-culture references. Seriously how many wives has Tom Cruise had since this was written? 😆 4y
Crinoline_Laphroaig Then there is the romance. It's kind of cringey in places. Had we not started putting Safe Sex in Romance in 1996? Or did we ignore it because it's set in Catholic Ireland 😒 4y
Lynnsoprano Gorgeous! I enjoyed that series, but it‘s been a while. 4y
Crinoline_Laphroaig Vaguely remember that I liked last in series the least. So rather than buying I'm wait on Library Kindle Hold. 4y
Crinoline_Laphroaig This series makes me want to bake scones 4y
Crinoline_Laphroaig @Suet624 @Lynnsoprano Thank you! Himself took some beautiful photos on that trip. 4y
