“Yes! The Widow‘s Cup. Put a marriage band in it, and it automatically turns any wine into poison. Awesome, right?”
Just started out on this one a couple days ago, I‘m already in love. Marissa Meyer is a fantastic writer, I am so glad I finally picked up this series (but finding this book was so difficult so close to Christmas 😩). Haven‘t had a chance to take a proper photo of the book itself, but this screenshot of it when I finished Renegades really shows my excitement to continue the series! #lunarchronicles #renegades #marissameyer
Batman + Cajun mushroom risotto.
I feel like Batman is a huge part of my life because I imprinted on Adam West‘s version when I was 8, but I‘ve read relatively few Batman comics. When I dip into the bat family, I mostly go for Batgirl or Batwoman because they seem less continuity-focused. (Also, they‘ve got queer content.) Batman ranked high on EW‘s Best Comics of the Decade, though, so I figure it‘s about time I explored.
#bookreport time! I:
• reread THE RAVEN KING (😭) and HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE (🎧👍)
• read and enjoyed OVER THE TOP and UNTOUCHABLE
• read some COMICS!!!! I enjoyed Mr & Mrs X, revelled in the Umbrella Academy‘s weirdness, struggled a bit with Domino due to the script/art divide I so often see from Simone, and bailed on Batgirl two issues in.
• I plan to start CDTH tonight, but it‘s daunting so I might wait until tomorrow.
As a huge fan of She-Hulk, it‘s been disappointing not to have access to many She-Hulk comics at my library. With Marvel Unlimited I can read it all! Here‘s She-Hulk‘s origin story from 1980. It‘s a little corny but honestly I think it‘s great. A must-read for She-Hulk fans. 5⭐️
This was a great cornucopia of Squirrel Girl comics! I loved reading every one of them including the newest ones at the end. Of course I'm dying to know what happens to Ratatoskr... guess I'll have to read the next volume to find out. And looooove the Deadpool cards!!! Spot on!
Superheroes are all the craze in hollywood right now, and this graphic novel does a great job of parodying this genre. It is all about a dad telling his children a bed time story about Danger Filth and Vacuum, The Terrible Two attacking a city. Many superheroes including Steel Man come to save the day. The children will love this Science Fictions story as a S or RT. #ucflae3414f19
