Thank you to our lovely #MidwinterSolace hosts for this little envelope of happy that arrived today. My kids are back in school and I can finally take some time to breath into the quiet, so it really was the perfect timing for a beautiful pick me up package. I absolutely love Owls, and Owls in head gear are even better 😊

Most important book of the season is now out and properly guarded. (One year the puppy made some editions to the pop-ups requiring a hastily ordered new copy. 😜)

Bookzombie I love all the guards. Also, the expressions on Santa and the reindeer are cute. 👀 4mo

This story is a classic kids story dating back a while. The story follows a gingerbread boy baby who runs and runs telling the townspeople that they will not be able to catch them. As the story continues the towns people are not able to catch them, and they get seemingly more and more arrogant. In the end the gingerbread baby is caught by the sly fox and eaten.

“Uh oh... I see you're feeling something new. You look different, Color Monster! Tell me... how do you feel now?“

I love using this book for children because it not only goes over emotions it also goes to show colors. Here the kids can now associate colors with feelings and show the different ways to express their emotions.

Pickpick

The Color Monster by Anna Llenas published a picture book in 2012. This is a story about Color Monster awakening and feeling incredibly perplexed. He experiences a wide range of emotions at once, including anger, happiness, calmness, sadness, and fear. He has to figure out how to deal with his emotions by using colors. The images bring the story to life with the dull white background and the different colors popping off the page.
