@julesG this is what Greenblatt has to say on the matter. All three of these guys were about 100 years before Dürer, and in a similar time to Da Vinci. Now, all of these guys seem to be Italian, so maybe Dürer was the first guy to bring it out of Italy? ??♀️

julesG Seems probable. I can only remember that we were taught in school Dürer was the one. Maybe they just left out that he was the first North of the Alps. 5y
