I‘ve been listening to this audiobook for about a month. Finally finished it today! I don‘t love non fiction but I read everything this author puts out. He makes non fiction read like fiction, and I‘m a big fan. This story was one I hadn‘t heard before, so I was able to learn a lot! I would recommend this one for history fans and non fiction haters alike!

This book is not a “typical” book I would read.
However, this book was very intriguing. It is not written as a “dry” nonfiction. The author did a great job including the facts without bias. It gives insight into the Vietnam War as well as ins and outs & dealings within the White House, and abroad. It gave me a better understanding of what occurred during the Vietnam War & the Watergate Scandal. Factual and enthralling. Highly Recommend

Coverups in the Oval Office have always existed and will always exist.

“From 1966 through 1968, an average of 25,000 men would be drafted every month”
That‘s an eye popping number. 😳
This book is very interesting and provides good insight into the Vietnam War.

Will read anything, anywhere, provided I can fit it in my purse. Starting this one today, and hoping to understand my dad just a little more.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Sounds like a good one to read! 6y

This is the best explanation of the motives behind Vietnam that I have ever read. Listed as young adult, but I'd say it's for everyone. It emphasizes how important a free press is, & that journalism is more than writing a blog. It is a responsibility to tell the facts & the truth. This is a book that makes me want to read more on the topic, & will have me thinking about it for a long time to come. I can't give higher praise than that.

Chrissyreadit Currently, We Americans seem to have a shorter than fleeting memory of the past. 7y
GeekGrl82 It is so incredibly depressing to see it happening, and feel like you are shouting into the wind. 7y
