CocoReads @TheDaysGoBy this is my first time doing camp and November was my first time doing the original version. I was waylaid in the November one by illness, work and holiday family obligations. Being able to set my own goal helped with this as well. The story won‘t be done at 30,000 words of course, but I thought it was more realistic for me than 50. 6y
TheDaysGoBy @CocoReads Oh for sure. You've gotta do you and what works best. I've never actually done Nanowrimo - writing is just a hobby for me and so I like that the camps are more laid back while still giving me a deadline/goal to work towards 6y
CocoReads @TheDaysGoBy it‘s totally a hobby for me too but one that I‘m just now picking back up after not doing anything for more than 20 years. I‘d always wanted to try it though and I‘m having a good time. Maybe something will come of it and maybe I‘ll just keep writing these for my friends. I just know that right now, it‘s one of my sanity savers! #neverendingwinter 6y
TheDaysGoBy @CocoReads That's incredible you're picking it back up after 20 years! Having fun is definitely the most important part - a lesson I've learned the hard way for sure. And I'm totally with you on it being a sanity saver. Winter has definitely sucked this year and in general writing is a great escape 6y
