Bookwomble There's a clear process of social atomisation in Western societies, a tendency to promote "self reliance" which is actually a tendency towards alienation. When people seek like-minded people it's criticised as "identity politics" unless the group meets strictly policed cultural criteria, but humans have a deep need for connection & acceptance, & will come together. Without being too precious about it, I think Litsy is a place where that happens ? 3mo
