so-soJust finished this super cute middle grade book in preparation for my September Tween Book Club. We're going to talk about typography and how it impacts the message a reader gets, be it a sign, advertisement, book, etc. Should be fun!
(Personally this is a so-so, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it [clearly, as I'm using it for a library program!].)

This book is a more girl centric Wimpy Kid. We join our lead as a middle child in Middle School and she hates it!. She very much makes me think of Jan Brady. She feels she doesn‘t get enough attention as the middle child. She is always worried and anxious about not being as good as her brother or as loved as her sister. I get the problems, and see many kids who will not only enjoy this read but find themselves in it.

This was such a cute story of the crisis of fitting in in middle school. As an educator I understand why the teachers “stopped“ her, but I wish they would have let their lunchcapdes keep going.
I have the next two from the library and can't wait to read them.
