This made me think of Coriolanus Snow A.K.A President Snow from The Hunger Games. The ultimate manipulator from the beginning. The tagged book is the prequel to the Hunger Games where we learn his story and how he came to be the monster he is.

Numerous true crime books came to mind for today's prompt. This is a collection of con artists who swindle, defraud, Ponzi, scam & otherwise #manipulates their targets. Looking forward to this one, especially as I greatly enjoyed Tefler's previous book, Lady Killers.
