Pride Month: Day Twenty One! 🌈

I couldn't decide between these two books for my video this week - so I talked about them both! 😆 Both are great contemporary stories; one a rom com, and the other a more serious look at relationships - but they're both FANTASTIC!

Layered look at character development and gender fluidity amid the lesbian scene in Portland during the late 1990‘s, and what it‘s like to grow and develop among the expectations of friends and family who have you placed in a very specific box. The reactions of Andrea‘s friends and family after finding out about her pregnancy are well done, as is her own growth as a mom and independent woman.

Another book done on the wintery “Spring” day. This lovely book starts fairly slow and I wasn‘t sure if I really liked our main characters. However the second half really picked up and I enjoyed it. This is #YA and I enjoyed though this is a #lgbq book, the world of this book has an equality of partners and relationships. The same sex relationships weren‘t scandalous or shocking they were just people falling in love. #glorytotheguild
