Pickpick

I started this book in May from the Library and abandoned it when I had no option for renewal. I decided to get the book and start again so I could watch the author chat from the MMD Summer Book Club. LOVED this book! Every high school student should be required to read this book (along with The Help). What an amazing telling of the Tulsa race riots. Brava Jennifer Latham! #mmdbookclub #dreamlandburning #jenniferlatham

#SizzlinSummerBooks | Day 30: #HotStuff | #DreamlandBURNING by #JenniferLatham 🔥

Some bodies won't stay buried.
Some stories need to be told.

When 17-year-old Rowan Chase finds a skeleton on her family's property, she has no idea that investigating the brutal century-old murder will lead to a summer of painful discoveries about the past and the present. It brings the Tulsa race riot of 1921 to life and raises questions about US race relations.

Hrhadrienne I work one block from Greenwood in Tulsa where the riots happened. The author is coming to talk next week. So excited! 7y
