Brooklyn botanic garden does a Lightscape winter walk at night for a couple months every year. I love going and getting some hot chocolate (with baileys!) and wandering the exhibits.
I‘m a member and like doing walks around there any season tbh, it‘s so close to my apartment.

This happens to be all the time. I read a book, then at the end of it, I find out it's part of a series. The Vanished Days is the last book in this trilogy. The first book is The Winter Sea. The second is The Firebird. Now, I am going to have to go back and read the other two and then this one, again.
I enjoyed the love story, though it wasn't a book I couldn't put down or wait to pick up.

4.5 Stars • The Firebird by Susanna Kearsley is a captivating novel that weaves together historical fiction and romance. Set in the early 18th century, the story follows Anna Moray, a young woman with a mysterious past, as she navigates the glittering courts of Europe. Anna's journey is intertwined with the mythical tale of the Firebird, a symbol of hope and transformation.

Scottish love, intrigue, Russia and some bonus E.S.P. because WHY NOT!? 💜

“From the first time I met them, they‘ve been on the knives,” he said, using the Russian expression for people who shared a dislike for each other.
I just LOVE this expression and plan to incorporate it into my life. I‘m on the knives with all kinds of people, it shouldn‘t be hard. 🤣

It takes until chapter 8 or so to figure out how this is a sequel to The Winter Sea (and an irritably long time to get to the sexy Scottishness of it all) but now I‘m there and enjoying the next journey in this trilogy.
Something just occurred to me - did you see the list of prompts in the word doc? I know a couple of other people missed them initially, so weren't aware of them. 2mo
